OS/2 Warp 3 was marketed heavily during the Windows 95 delay. When Windows 95 was released, many PC users were forced to upgrade their computers to get it to work. Meanwhile the OS/2 Warp at the time had min memory requirements of just 4mb (though 16mb was recommended at the time.) Not OS/2 users. And OS/2 was (and still is) better built, period! So why didn't OS/2 make it? Three reasons: 1. They were late offering OEM versions to PC vendors (their primary focus at first was business sector.) 2. Every magazine hyped the upcoming Windows 95. 3. Marketing blunders of IBM.
